Lodhi Garden
Lodhi gardens , located in Delhi, is spread over 90 acres and contains several important tombs , including sikandar Lodi's tomb, Sheesh gumbad and Bara gumbad.Lodhi garden was set up in between the 15th and 16th centuries by the
Sayyid and Lodhi rulers. The garden is very well kept and still have
some historical monuments which are an added attraction for the
tourists.
Mughal Garden
The Mughal Gardens are situated in the Rashtrapati Bhavan - The President's House. These are open for a few days in the months February and March for public. For the rest of the year, this are closed for the common public Mughal Gardens are the unique gardens as these are a combination of Mughal and British Architecture . There are Mughal canals, European flowerbeds , lawns and a variety of hedges, shrubs, herbs ,plants and trees all around the garden.
Lal Bagh Garden
Bangalore is considered to be the Garden City of India and in the city, spreading over a whooping area of 240 acres of Parkland, is the Lal Bagh of Bangalore City. Lal Bagh is considered to be one of the most richly diversed Botanical Gardens in South Asia . Modelled on London Crystal Palace, it has a Glass House which is considered to be the best place for horticulture shows. The construction of the Lal Bagh Garden began in the 18th century , during the reign of Hyderabad and completeted by his son - Tipu Sultan - the bravest King Bangalore has ever produced . Tipu Sultan further decorated the garden by importing several plants from various countries.
Pinjore Garden
Famously known as Pinjore gardens, the Yadavindra gardens are located in Chandigarh . The Pinjore gardens were created in the 17th century on the foothills of Shivalik Range .As per the Hindu mythology , it were the Mahabharata fame - Pandav Brothers who resided in Pinjore during their exile. The Pinjore gardens have been made exactly at the place where the Pandavs resided . Covering an area of 100 acres, the Pinjore garden is filled with abundant grass and tree greenery . There are numerous fountains which adds to the beauty of the garden.
